Lake Garda in your living room

Another large painting in acrylic, this one is of Lake Garda in Italy after our holiday there last August. I took my sketch pad and sat sketching the mountains and lake while the kids played in the sand. Fantastic. It looked great at the entrance to Cafe Unlimited!
This painting is for sale for a very reasonable £150. Don't forget you are buying direct from the artist so there is not the usual gallery commission to pay, and this is unframed,so you are not spending over £100 on the frame. This is a striking addition to any room.

Half Dome, Yosemite National Park

I love this picture - it's huge, but then so is Half Dome in Yosemite National Park in the US. I painted this in 2006 from a picture I took during our honeymoon a good few years earlier, and the acrylics really make the mountain stand out. I also love the texture of the paint in creating ripples on the lake. It looked great hanging over a sofa in Cafe Unlimited.

Thinking about the winter

It's only September, but Christmas cards are already starting to appear. Noooooo! However, it's a good time to think about winter scenes, as originals and as cards, such as this one.
